12 Sep 13, 08:10 AM omsairam: Yesterday, CNX NIFTY gapped up (5686.60-5738.20) and sustained the gap by closing higher by 216.35 points or 3.81% higher. Nifty was not left behind as it touched the 5900 level Tuesday on appreciation in rupee, strong exports data and TRAI recommendations for telecom, thereby rallying as many as 555.30 points in the last 4 consecutive sessions. For the day, Nifty sustaining above 5800-5850 could be very positive as the market is in momentum. On the other hand, traders should not ignore the fact that the strength of the uptrend is slowly reducing, as the ADX suggests. Therefore caution is advised if 5940 is not crossed and sustained on a closing basis today. IF the market happens to cross 5940 and sustains above it, then fresh buying could be seen for higher levels of 6050-6100 in the days to come. 12 Sep 13, 08:13 AM omsairam: Nifty future after a big gap up opening following the better global cues continued its upside momentum on the back of strong SHORT covering across the board. Nifty has recovered almost 800 points in just 9 trading sessions from around 5100 till 5900 zone. Nifty future for the day, if it sustains above 5880 levels then positive momentum may be continued towards 5950-5980 levels, whereas if it fails to hold 5850 levels then only some profit booking may be seen towards 5800 levels. Looking at the option concentration data, max Put OI stands at 5300 followed by 5400 strike prices whereas max Call OI is shifted at 6000 followed by 5800 strike prices. Fresh put writing was seen in 5600 & 5700 strike prices along with unwinding in 5500-5600-5700 strike calls. BankNifty for the day, it has immediate support around 10000 psychological levels it fails to hold then some profit booking may be seen whereas it has immediate hurdle at 10350 levels.

12 Sep 13, 08:25 AM omsairam: RBI further relaxes norms to increase foreign capital flows : In a move to enhance the inflow of foreign capital into the country, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) further relaxed norms that would encourage banks to raise funds in overseas market. Under new norms, the RBI allowed bank for swap facility for term deposits in dollar denomination at a concessional rate of 1 percent below the market rate for the period of 1 to 3 years. Banks can now borrow such funds from their head office, overseas branches and correspondents and overdrafts in nostro accounts up to a limit of 100 percent of their unimpaired Tier I capital as at the close of the previous quarter or $10 million, whichever is higher as against the existing limit of 50 percent.
